disneyfan1313 Posted June 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2009 There were cabs available right at the ship - but the great thing about the Azamara Quest was they docked at the closest dock to the main drag of shops which was about a 10 minute walk to the "square" where you could easily catch a bus to the train station. Saves about 13 euros and you get to see a bit more of the city in the process!
Ex-Airbalancer Posted June 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 18, 2009 The cabs where by the ship It was 15euros for 4 people, if you 8 people it would still be 15 euros We were there on a Sunday , so we were not sure about the timing of the buses at 8 am
arkcruiser Posted June 18, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 18, 2009 In Livorno, this depends on where the ship docks. The larger ships dock in the industrial port and these locations require a shuttle bus, for which the cruise lines typically charge (in Civitavecchia this service is run by the port and is free). In May the Quest docked at the edge of town and so it was only a short walk to get a city bus or a cab.

The local chamber of commerce had a booth on the dock staffed with two persons to assist passengers.
