Ruby Princess cabins R750 and R751

Nice room - close to the Terrace Pool. You will hear the door to the pool slam all day long and into the evening - that is a reality. The balcony is always covered in black soot. Its some weird airflow from the diesel stacks - I cleaned it up several times and the carpet coming into the room is pretty filthy because of it. But - overall we enjoyed the room and would book it again - as it is at the end of a quiet dead end hallway and close to the Terrace pool and below the Horizon buffet which is handy for running up and getting a snack.

Someone must have some current info and pics on these new aft cabins that are only available on the Ruby. We love Princess grand aft cabins and have R751 booked for the Eastern Caribbean Voyager in Feb.

How did you like R 751?  any pics?

The introduction of Riviera Deck aft Balcony cabins for what one might roughly call Grand Class ships seems to have been introduced in 2008.  Accordingly the newest Princess Grand Class ship built in 2008 had them incorporated into the design.  The feature also is on Azura operated by P&O (UK) built 2010, the newest of the Grand Class design before they moved on to bigger things.  I did stay in one of the Princess fleet in the cabin, ocean view and thought it slightly bigger and arranged differently but this might well have been due to not having to be constrained about organising things around  patio doors.  Muster drill was interesting as we went down the crew stairs which seem to be integrated into the giant legs that hold up the night club although the night clubs have been moved on some refits.

Sorry no pics but we did stay in R751 on the Ruby in January, February of 2020 on a cruise to Australia and New-Zealand. It was not our choice, but we were upgraded to that cabin.

I have to say we have greatly enjoyed it. The cabin is exactly the same as a normal balcony cabin.

The balcony is a bit bigger than normal balcony cabin but really nothing to brag about.

What we really enjoyed about it is the views you get from the balcony.

We usually get a normal balcony but don't usually spend that much time on our balcony.

With this cabin we would get some drinks and enjoy the balcony because of the nice views.

I've been looking for information and pictures and have found very little.

A major concern ... Is the balcony covered? Sensitive to sun. Spending too much time with the dermatologist.

Pictures would be great.

All help would be appreciated.

On Ruby now. Very little covered balconey. We might get some shade.  We brought safari style hats and umbellas to block out sun.  The corner of the balcony is curved slightly so it's not as big as nextdoors.  We are in R751.

Very private. When we are sitting in the 2 chairs no one can see you. If we go to the rail and stretch you can see the terrace pool rails above you but it's not a problem .

R749 does have rails above it and people standing there could look down.

R751 is at the end of  14th floor, and down to the left. Quite as it deadends there.

A liitle engine noise but it was like white noise to me.no food smells as others reported on lower deck.
