For the two I remember:

Freedom Eastern Caribbean, 7-nights: All shore excursions purchased on S&S card this trip= $350--just me.

Valor Western Caribbean, 7-nights: One shore excrusion, $45, purchased on S&S card this time= $360 --just me. I pre-purchased all excursions except for the one we did in Miami when we got back--so if I had put the excursions on for this cruise it woudl have been double!! I think I drank more on this cruise:D

Wow! If you don't drink or do the casino, then you should be able to keep it pretty low! Don't forget that they will automatically add the $10 per day per person for the auto-tips to your S&S card. That is unless you pay them before you go. I do know that the specialty coffees cost about the same as a Starbucks would. You can always drink the free coffee up on Lido deck instead:)

Our total on our S & S card for my husband and myself was $750 for a 7 day cruise. I would not change anything that we did.

This is a breakdown of what we did.

3 drinks each a day. I always had the most delicious iced drinks

purchases from the gift shop - beautiful polar bear with 2 cubs in white marble and a polar bear with a jade fish (each $60.00)

2 - bottles of Bailey's

2 - bottles of Sake (loved the deep blue bottles)

pre-paid gratuities

2 fancy coffees

Hot chocolate with Baileys in a travel mug

This is what we spend extra with cash:

We also gave an extra $20.00 cash to our room stewart, $15.00 to his assistant, $20.00 to our dining room Server, $20,00 to his assistant and $20.00 to our favorite bartender

Whenever we got a drink if they were friendly and nice, we tipped them $1.00, can not remember how many we tipped. Every morning we had coffee delivered to our room by roomservice - we tipped $2.00 each time.

Looking back, it was one of the best holidays we have been on.

We love cruising ....

We work very hard for our money and both feel it was well spent.

2 people 7 days-total bill $140!

We had a wonderful time.

Had our own booze with us.

Used city transportation in all ports

Did not gamble or play bingo.

We brought our own surprise gifts for each other for each day. So we did not go to the shops.

We played cards, watched the water and had a fantastic time.

Next cruise 12/21/09 on the Valor.

I already started bying my husband some surprise gifts.

fun ,fun, fun!

On a resent 4 day cruise my total bill was 1.88, thats because we had cancelled the ATV Adventure excursion and it even absorb the Tips and I think that the highest I have seen on a 7 day cruise was probably 1400.00 - 1800.00

Thats pretty much where our money went, but today we don't play bingo but still donate around 800.00 to the casino. I am pretty much done with the Casino.

what was ur total bill at the end of the cruise and how longdid u go for?

Generally speaking, if our cruise expenditures for a family of 4 on a 7day (usually includes the S&S, $400 on the Visa and $300 cash) is less than we paid for the cruise - we are very happy.:)

I respectfully disagree. It's not the booze or gambling that does it, but the I-can't-not-get-this-it-is-so-beautiful pictures they take. At $25 a pop. I've read several posts here from folks who had eight to nine hundred dollar S&S bills from nothing but pictures and tips.

Our S&S bill, including $140 in tips on our week long Fantasy cruise in May was $191. And $10 of that was a heretofor never charged corking fee in the dining room (we learned that lesson after the 1st night).

Your S&S bill can be as low as you choose it to be with self control. Advice: Stay away from all the photo taking opportunities if you have no desire to have a high S&S bill. Getting the photos taken is 100% optional. Just say no ;) Works for DH and me every time.
