Is my room ready?

It has been our experience on two Carnival cruises this year that our cabins were ready at 1:30pm. We were told that at embarkation. Truthfully, I don't recall if there was an announcement or not, we just went to our cabin at that time and we could get in.

USUALLY.... staterooms are not ready until 1:30pm or maybe a little bit earlier.... but I always stop by and drop of carry-ons w/out a problem.

Just a word of caution- when dropping off carry-ons to the room before the time (1:30 usually) the cabins are not yet secured so if any one is wondering around--

The fire doors are usually closed until the cabin area is ready.

Thanks for the reminder to others... but I am very well aware of the security issue ;)

Any carryons I drop off have no valuables or anything worth worrying about if rummaged thru or stolen from !:D

I usually go to my cabin as soon as I board. If it has already been cleaned and the unpacking pad is on the bed and the door is closed, then I drop my bags off. If the door is still open or it hasn't been completely cleaned yet then I just keep them with me.

Not a big deal either way. After a quick lunch on the Lido, we usually head for the casino to set up our players bank then sit at the Casino bar and get to know the bartenders there.
