Traveler353 Posted June 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2009 When you can get to it. If the halls are blocked they are not ready.

USUALLY.... staterooms are not ready until 1:30pm or maybe a little bit earlier.... but I always stop by and drop off carry-ons w/out a problem. KenMo Posted June 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 23, 2009 We've received a little notice when checking in. It states the rooms will be ready at 1:30pm.
Djptcp Posted June 23, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2009 It has been our experience on two Carnival cruises this year that our cabins were ready at 1:30pm. We were told that at embarkation. Truthfully, I don't recall if there was an announcement or not, we just went to our cabin at that time and we could get in.

Just a word of caution- when dropping off carry-ons to the room before the time (1:30 usually) the cabins are not yet secured so if any one is wondering around-- The fire doors are usually closed until the cabin area is ready. Thanks for the reminder to others... but I am very well aware of the security issue ;) Any carryons I drop off have no valuables or anything worth worrying about if rummaged thru or stolen from !:D
Upandadam Posted June 23, 2009 #8 Share Posted June 23, 2009 We've found that they're ready at varying times, often long before Carnival states they will be. Just check on it every now and then.
okgirl Posted June 23, 2009 #9 Share Posted June 23, 2009 I usually go to my cabin as soon as I board. If it has already been cleaned and the unpacking pad is on the bed and the door is closed, then I drop my bags off. If the door is still open or it hasn't been completely cleaned yet then I just keep them with me. Not a big deal either way. After a quick lunch on the Lido, we usually head for the casino to set up our players bank then sit at the Casino bar and get to know the bartenders there.
