kruzin' Posted June 26, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2009 :) we have reservations for a car in both ports..Halifax to do lLunenburg and Sydney to drive the Cabot Trail...after reading the posts here I am wondering if we should just do Halifax on our own and keep the car for Sydney..I wanted to see the scenery in NOva Scotia and will it really be different in both places since they are so close to each other? Will I regret missing out on Halifax?, thank you

senator6 Posted June 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2009 We have rented a car in both and have done the Lighthouse Route out of Halifax and part of Cabot Trail from Sydney (we could not do the entire trail in the time we had in port). While both are in Nova Scotia they were very different experiences and would not hesitate to do both. You can get a good travel guide for Nova Scotia at https://novascotia.com/en/home/planatrip/travel_guides/default.aspx
themerle Posted June 30, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2009 I just received my Doer's and Dreamer's guide a few days ago. It's very helpful!
