Nitra Posted May 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2004 Ok I have never cruised over a holiday before. This year my group picked the VOS over Halloween and I know there are others on here going on that cruise. The ship leaves Oct 30. Typically the first full day, which would be OCT 31 is a formal night, so what do they do about Halloween? My group is asking about dressing up and if we need to work on costumes or masks or something. They wanted me to post the question here since yall have so much personal experience and knowledge! DMorris Posted May 7, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 7, 2004 We were on the voyager last halloween. Alot of people did dress up for halloween, but it did not fall on a formal night. The costume party was fun. They even judged and gave out prizes. bchbms Posted May 7, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2004 Hi Nitra, We were on the Serenade last year - same sailing date. The first formal night was postponed till the next day. They had a kids Halloween parade during early dinner and also brought them onstage at the theater. Alot of passengers dressed up also, and the had a Halloween party in the Safari Club at night with prizes for the best, funniest, etc. Some of the costumes were great and it was fun to watch even if you weren't dressed up. Alot of the off-duty crew and entertainers came to the party dressed up also. We also noticed that some people had decorated their stateroom doors for the occasion. It all added to an already very fun cruise! Enjoy! Mary Serenade of the Seas

Nitra Posted May 7, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted May 7, 2004 He says he is not going.. HA! We will see when the time gets closer. He said after working on the ships he had no desire to be on one, I tried to tell him it is different as a passenger but he still says he wont go. It is ok with me if he doesn't cause I will have more fun with my friends if I am not having to have my attention divided from taking care of the group and tending to him. Voyager of the Seas!
