couple questions

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and a true cruise virgin. I must first say how much i have enjoyed reading your forum.

I will be sailing on island escape on the 21st july on the island Discovery itinerary and really looking forwad to it.

My questions are, what currency is used onboard? I know it's cashless and you pay at the end of the week, but what do i use in the casino should i feel the need for a flutter?

Secondly can i use a travel iron or do i have to send my creased clothes to laundry?

Hi,

Prices are in £. So I take it they take them in the casino. Never used it last time.

No you can't take an iron, fire hazard. You should be OK for just a week with clothes, we were last time.

What took up space this last cruise this month with RCI was the suit for formal nights.

No probs with that on the Escape, unless you want to that is.

 

Have a good trip,

It was my wife's 1st cruise on the Escape last year and she loved it, that's why we're back on her in Dec. with our sons.

We packed so much stuff that it didn't move much in the cases and were fine when we unpacked. And we had to travel to airport day before on this last cruise with RCI so the stuff was in the bags for nearly 36 hours.

Last year Island Escape was much faster getting bags to cabins than RCI.

Also they might have a reduced price on Iron Only if you want things just pressing.
