australia/new zealand cruise

We are looking into a Princess Cruise for January 2010 to Austalia/New Zealand with a 7 day add on in Sydney. We are use to traveling on Oceania and other smaller ships, but the price and itinerary seem much better on Princess. I am concerned with size and impersonal attention given the large ship. Any thoughts/comments?

My husband, a friend and myself took this cruise back in Janurary 2008 on the Sapphire. We had such a great time. The dining staff in the Open Dining knew us when we walked in. The staff all over the ship was great. Plus we meet some really great people from all over. We are still in touch with several of them who live in Sydney. Trying to get back down again to see them and take the cruise again.

We did this cruise in 2006 on the Diamond and loved it - we took a Princess land tour at the end - it was worth every $$ -I have my scrapbook on Picasa - but it is a private album (we have some photos of Kiwi friends in it) - if you want to see it - email me at prescottgal@gmail.com - and I'll invite you to see it - it is a great trip - you will not be disappointed!
