dolphin excursion

My family is going on Carnival's Miracle soon. Does anyone know if I can book the dolphin excursion directly through Atlantis resort without encountering any problems? I would need transportation to and from the resort. The children plan to swim with the dolphins and my husband and I would simply like to observe.

I read on here where someone was on a cruise and booked (and paid for) a room at Atlantis and got to do all the stuff rather than just a few things offered through the cruise line excursion.

I would think that if you booked a room for a night that you could then reserve the dolphin event as a guest of the hotel.

Something to think about....
