Elvis Karaoke Songs on the Conquest

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately, the songs in karaoke are not listed anywhere on the Internet.

If you know someone headed that way before you who would take a picture of the Elvis page, that might help.

I don't sing Elvis....but (as best as I can remember)....I am thinking they had a good selection of Elvis and Frank Sinatra.

Have a great cruise.

LHP is the expert here.. (hey when are you going to share your voice with us!!)

I looked at the list on the Miracle and it was an extensive list for Elvis..

The Casino Host Airguarde loved singing Elvis at Karaoke!

I would imagine they have a great selection considering he's still so popular!:)

Trock is correct. If the other ships have a good Elvis selection....you should not have any any problem on the Conquest.

I LOVE karaoke. And the one thing that I tell people is this:

"Give it a try!!!

If we were Whitney Houston, we would not be on a Carnival ship headed to Cozumel!!

This is just for FUN!!"

I know they will have Jailhouse Rock (because they use it in the Legends Show) and Hound Dog (for the same reason) ....

The last cruise I went on had no shortage of Elvis songs. 75% country music, 10% Elvis, 10% Frank Sinatra, and 5% of everything else. I'm not a big country music fan so needless to say, I didn't do any singing.

Yeah I was bummed out too. You would think they would have more of a variety of music. I couldn't find anything to sing and had to listen to all that country music the whole time. Good thing the drinks were cold and strong. LOL

Thanks to you all for your great responses and information!

I love an Elvis song titled "Treat Me Nice" and one titled "Promised Land" (originally by Chuck Berry, I think) and "In The Ghetto".

I sing those on road trips to my captive audience family and they seem to think I sound somewhat like Elvis! :p

Anybody know if those three songs are on the karaoke list? They are the only three I would feel somewhat comfortable singing. (if I can get up the nerve in the first place)

thank you, thank you very much!

Let me check with some karaoke hosts that I know. They are not specifically on the Conquest...but the list should be about the same.

I just heard back from a friend who is the KH on the Valor.

They do NOT have those specific songs on the Valor.

This means that they probably do not have them on the Conquest as well.

sorry....

However, that is not to say that they don't have other Elvis songs...

When we were on the Conquest in Jan. my granddaughter, age 7, sang karaoke every night that they had family karaoke. Lots of Hannah Montana songs. Really did not know she could sing that good. It was a great experience for her and her little sister, age 2, got to dance on stage while she sang. She made Nana, Pops, Mom, Dad and uncles very proud of her. Karaoke is alot of fun, just try it. There will be songs you can sing.

They are still doing JHR and Hound Dog? I did Elvis in the Legends show on the Conquest in 2006 and sang those songs. I actually got beat for the part of Elvis in the Karaoke bar because my competition sang the lower keyed Elvis songs much better than me. When he heard that he would have to sing the higher keyed JHR and HD he backed out so I got to do it. A word of warning about the Legends show if you get chosen to do it there are no TV monitors so you'll have to memorize the songs .

Good advice!!!

Yes, they are still doing Jailhouse Rock and Hound Dog for Elvis.

Folks do have to know their lyrics AND the key can not be adjusted. (learned that one the hard way!!!)

Personally, I think contestants should all have to try out on the same song that is going to be sung in the show. There are lots of folks that I have seen that do pretty well on one song and the BOMB on the one that is in the show.

Going on the Conquest in November, not sure what you're talking about. It should be fun whatever it is.

All the 7 day cruises (and some of the 5 day) have what is called The Legend Show. This is where folks audition at karaoke for 10 different entertainers. (Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Garth Brooks, James Brown, Ricky Martin and Elton John are the guys. Aretha Franklin, Gloria Estefan, Madonna, Britney Spears are the gals.

You have to sing the song they select in the show. (It is an appreviated version of the song or medley (as in Elvis' case).

Each person gets a full costume and assigned a dancer. There is some choreography involved....lots of fun.

The participants get a free group picture and a free DVD of the show.
