Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this excursion. Was it worth the money and did everyone enjoy. At what beach did the cat anchor? and how far out from the beach?

Thanks in advance:) Description below from Princess Site

Full Day Catamaran Sail To St. John With Lunch

Take this exclusive sail away tour to the enchanting island of St. John.

Step aboard a sailing catamaran for your two hour sail to the pristine, palm fringed beaches of St. John, safe guarded by the US National Park Service. Glide through Current Cut on the eastern end of St. Thomas, with your destination beckoning in the distance. At the special anchoring location across Pillsbury Sound, you will have two hours or so to sunbathe, beach comb, swim, snorkel or just relax onboard or under a swaying palm on the beach. This idyllic setting is the perfect backdrop for your elaborate Caribbean style buffet luncheon, served onboard. Champagne and a complimentary bar are available throughout the fun filled excursion.

SPECIAL NOTES

Alcoholic beverages are served after snorkeling. Passengers must be 21 to consume alcohol. An alternate beach site may be used if weather conditions are unsuitable at St. John. Snorkel equipment including snorkel vest is provided.

Is this a champagne catamaran sailaway tour. (or maybe that is what Carnival calls it), but a group of 5 of us did this 1 year ago and it was amazing. It is by far my fiance's favorite exursion that we have ever done. You feel like you are the only ones on the sailboat and the captain is very informative. There were probably 6 other people on this excursion with us. We ended up sailing to honeymoon beach for some snorkling or relaxing on the beach. On the way back, you are served a full lunch (fruit, lunch meats, etc.) in addition to having a full bar (beer, pain killers, soft drinks). Unlike some other excursions where they only offer awful tasting rum punch, etc. Yes, this is excursion is very pricey, but to us it was well worth the money. St. John is a beautiful island and this is a great excursion to go on if you want to experience the beauty of the island.
