help with something to do

Will have a few hours to spare after our cruise on the Explorer. Have a day room booked at the Rennaisance Newark airport and should arrive there about 11.00am. Our flight out will be at 19.10. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks in advance

It's all a question of how much money you are willing to spend. Realistically, you are flying internationally, so you have to be at the terminal by 17:00 at the latest. I'm sure you have cruise transfers, but if you disembarked early and took a cab to the airport to drop your luggage and then onto Penn Station Newark for the train to NY, you could pick up a couple of more hours. Another option is to go over to the Jersey Gardens Mall and hang out for a while.

i'd check in to the hotel, sleep and eat..................but that's just me.

Thanks for suggestions, realise time is short but had hoped to see something of NY. never mind just have to come back another time.
