Spa- Massage prices on RCI

hello everyone

 

I wondered if anyone could just advise me of the average price of a massage on RCI ships or does it differ ship to ship? Also how long do they last - is it a 15 or 30 minute massage?

 

If anyone has had one could they recommend a specific massage - Id just like one of those relaxing massages - dont fancy being twisted into any bone cracking positions :) Just one to ease out the muscles. And in your opinion are they worth it or a waste of money?

 

Im on LOS in November over thanksgiving.

 

Its my 40th Birthday cruise and a couple of people have already asked me what I want for my Birthday - So I was figuring they could pay for a massage.....or 2!!

Lime & Ginger Body Massage - $155.00

Aromapure Seaweed Massage - $195.00

Asian Spa Ritual - $265.00

Hot Stones Massage - $155.00 (had this and it was WONDERFUL!)

Couples Massage & Float Combo - $179.00 per couple

 

Swedish Massage - 50 mins - $119.00

Deep Tissue - 50 mins - $129.00

Couples Full Body Massage - 50 mins - $269.00

Reflexology - 50 mins - $119.00

Think I'll be giving some of those a miss!

 

I dont mind paying a bit extra for the luxury and ambience - but I can get about 3 for that price.....wow!

 

I think the swedish massage may be a possibility - anyone had a swedish massage before? What are they like?

Never pay full price for a spa treatment on a cruise ship; there listed prices are the equivalent of the cruise lines "brochure pricing." Highly inflated and people rarely pay them. They run discounts every day (listed in the cruise compass), there are coupons available, sometimes you can negotiate the price down with them or have them thorw in an extra treatment, and they are cheaper while the ship is at port. I have routinely seen prices discounted as much as 50% from the full price. If you can get a good deal, go for it but I strongly recommend against paying full price for a spa treatment on a cruise ship.
