Sea princess plaza deck ok?

Hi Cruisers,

 

Could anyone tell me if the Plaza (lowest cabin) deck has any engine noise to be concerned about?

 

We're going to be near the bow, starboard side in a P303 outside cabin.

You'll probably hear the anchor and thrusters, morning and evening - but other than those 10 min, you'll be fine. The Plaza deck is very convenient.

Get as close to the elevators as you can, [there will be very little noise], also there will be no engine noise. It is a favourite location of ours.

I was on Plaza deck on the Sun Princess, sister ship to the Sea Princess, and loved the location. VERY convenient to lounges, shops, etc. and when returning exhausted from a tour, I didn't have far to go. Most of the time, you re-enter the ship on Plaza deck. :) In P303, you'll be right near the self-service laundry and as there are fewer cabins on this deck, it's usually less busy. I was also on Plaza deck on the Island Princess and loved that location too.

 

Yes, when the ship is approaching port, you might hear the thrusters and if it's anchoring/tendering into port, you'll hear them drop the anchor. Other than that, very quiet.

WE were in P302 on the Ocean Princess and liked the locaion so much we chose the same cabin on the Sun Princess. Very quiet, never heard the thrusters or the anchors.

We were just on plaza deck on the Sea Princess to Alaska in June. Loved the location, so convenient to everything and very quiet.

Beware Emerald Deck, same location, you may get very rude joggers overhead, between 5.00 and 60am.
