momsbusy Posted July 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2009 Ok, I didn't want to look stupid by asking this question, but I can't find the answer. How do you become a Platinum Cruiser? Is this the highest honor? What are the benefits?
KatSt Posted July 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2009 You automatically become a Platinum cruiser on your 10th Carnival cruise. There are perks which come along with this. There are higher honors called "milestone" cruisers which are people with lots of cruises such as 25, 50, 75, etc.
osiebosie Posted July 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2009 On your tenth Carnival cruise you become Platinum. We just took our first platinum cruise and here's what we got: *personalized stationary - kind of ugly *canapes delivered to stateroom one evening - too full to eat them *petit fours delivered to stateroom one evening - too full to eat them *special Carnival logo item - two picture frames *personal guest service staff - never used *guaranteed dining times *priority wait list for the Supper Club reservation *Exclusive "Behind the Scenes galley tour" - we didn't go because we had friends with us who weren't Platinum *Spa Carnival services - priority booking of a spa treatment. Please confirm priority booking today by 6:00 p.m. and request a complimentary specialty add-on treatment for one of our body or facial services (a $20 value). - didn't use *Complimentary Wash and Fold service - we used this every other day!! *Complimentary $20 entrance to Black jack or Slot Tournament - did slot tournament and lost *Platinum Guests under 18 Complimentary $5 worth of arcade tokens *Priority tender assignment while debarking the vessel *Priority debarkation - very nice! And of course, the VIP check-in at the docks. Out of everything, we really liked the wash and fold service and the priority check-in and debarkation. Any length of cruise applies: 10 3-day cruises gets you to Platinum as well as 10 7-day cruises. Shay

familyof4cruising Posted July 16, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 16, 2009 I think the perks Carnival gives are great! VIP Embark, disembark and tendering ...I think are a great benefit. I never knew the wash and fold perk could be used more than once on the cruise...I only used it once on a 7 day cruise.
GOTTA CRUISE NOW Posted July 16, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 16, 2009 My PVP told me you can use the wash & fold every day. SO looking forward to that perk especially! And the embarking/ disembarking stuff!
DEL67 Posted July 16, 2009 #7 Share Posted July 16, 2009 The wash and fold is my favorite perk. We use it at least twice a cruise. Its great to go home with clean clothes and they fold better than I do!
earlethepearl Posted July 16, 2009 #8 Share Posted July 16, 2009 I will say the main thing I use is the wash/fold service. As has been mentioned before on here, don't send anything that could shrink or be ruined by the VERY hot dryers. It is great though for swimwear, socks, undergarments and shorts. I never use it on Polo type shirts or anything that could shrink up to fit Barbie! :D But it does cut down on the amount of things you have to pack.
