mallorca hop on/ off bus

Our cruise line ran a shuttle service from where we were docked to the city centre (just in front of the Cathedral). We got the HoHo bus from there. the commentary is not very great in fact pretty sparse. However it was probably worth it to get up to the castle as it had fantastic views from up there. It stops running at about 5.30 so if you are in port later like we were it doesn't give you a lot of time. However we were there at the end of April so it may operate later in high season.

If we hadnt used the shuttle bus, I think we could have walked to the drop off point in about 20-25 minutes (but it depends where you dock)

The Hoho bus stops at the end of the ship's pier, which is it's place of origin, I agree with the previous poster about the qualiity of the commentary but it is a good way ti get around the city and see the sites.

I was looking at the stops for the HOHO in Palma. Are any of these near the Cathedral or Illetes Beach?

Almudaina (Carrer Conquistador): It is an old-quarter in Mallorca with a medieval layout of narrow winding streets. It is the place where most of Mallorca’s monuments are concentrated.

Plaza Joan Carles I

La Rambla / Carrer dels Horts: The avenue of La Rambla was created when the route of the stream of La Riera was diverted in 1613. It is about 300 metre long with a fountain at the upper section and plenty of stalls selling flowers.

Plaza d´Espanya – TRAIN TO SOLLER STATION

Avenue Alexandre Rosselló: It is a shopping area in Eixampla.

Avenue Gabriel Alomar i Villalonga (Porta des Camp)

Moll commercial

Passeig Marítim: It is a great place to enjoy the nightlife of Mallorca. The bars and discotheques here remain open till the wee hours of the morning.

Poble Espanyol: It is a theme park village in the outskirts of Mallorca. Here you will find reproductions of famous buildings from Toledo, Cordoba, Madrid and Granada. This village gives you a glimpse of Spanish architecture, portraying its development through Muslim and Christian influences.

Castell de Bellver: The fortress is situated in Mallorca, 112 metres over the sea and has a unique circular form. It has Roman arcades and gothic colonnade. Enjoy endless sea views from the terrace of the castle.

Plaza Gomila: It is the centre of Mallorca’s nightlife and houses many hotels, saunas, clubs, bars and discotheques.

Avenue Joan Miró (centre comercial Porto Pí)

Estació Marítima: It is a ferry and cruise pier situated next to the yacht basins.

Avenue Gabriel Roca (davant l´auditorium)

Plaza Porta de Santa Catalina (Es Baluard)

Avenue Jaume III: It is famous for its souvenir shops.
