Collapsible luggage carts - Anyone use them?

I was thinking of using a collapsible luggage cart to tote our stuff around. Has anyone ever used one? What did you use it for? How was it handled by the airlines (did you carry it on board or??)?

How much luggage are you bringing?? You can only bring carry on size thru the xray machine, what else you bringing that you want a cart?

Never took a flight with it, but I've taken a "beach cart" on a past cruise which came in very handy. I guess you could consider it similar to a stroller and probably gate check it...

To the OP, I thought about using a cart myself at one time. But, now with most luggage having wheels, and the fact that you really don't have to handle your large bags once you get to the port, I changed my mind.:rolleyes:

I used to use them but quit using mine when I bought wheeled luggage so am not sure how they are currently handled by the airlines. (I used to just carry it on with me and put it in the overhead or under the seat.) I still have one and just use it for things like taking packages to the postoffice/fedex.

Thanks. I can see that that wasn't a very good idea. However, I did like the one about using it to bring packages to the post office. Thanks for that tip!
