Upgrade?

I was hoping somone could give me some advice on when it is best to ask for a free upgrade. After we get on the boat or before that? Thank-you!

I've only sailed out of Galveston and the boats are always full so getting an upgrade after you board is almost impossible. If I were you I would ask Carnival or my T/A who ever I booked with.

The only chance, and the odds of that happening is somewhere south of zero, is to ask before boarding. Carnival generally does not give free upgrades, though they do on occasion offer upsells where you can get a higher category cabin for a price.

Yeah I've heard of Carnival offering an upsell before the cruise and you may get that phone call. By the way, if you get that call and really want it you better jump on it because they just go down the list and sell it to the next person on the list. But free upgrade? Carnival usually sails pretty full so I doubt you'll see anything free.

Okay so maybe I shouldn't have said "free", but instead the best deal on an upgrade. Thanks.
