sapper1 Posted July 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2009 HI......sailing to these two ports and want to be sure to get some fresh Atlantic Lobster while there....... Give me your best suggestion for seafood restaurants in these two ports. Please! And, Thank You! In Saint John either Billys Seafood which is located at the uphill end of the City Market (between the entrance doors) or Steamers which is located directly across the street from Pugsley Cruise Terminal. In Halifax I really enjoy Saltys on the waterfront. www.billysseafood.com www.saltys.ca http://www.steamerslobstercompany.com/restaurant

cruiseloverohio Posted July 22, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted July 22, 2009 Sapper1 & CS4225: Thank you for your input. I've been googling restaurants in those ports and several of those are ones that I have been looking at, but wanted to be sure. That is my one "for sure and for certain" thing that I want to do: eat fresh Atlantic lobster. I actually really don't care how much it cost! Thanks again. sapper1 Posted July 22, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2009 In Halifax have lunch at Salty's then walk over to Cow's for the best ice cream in the world. How could I have forgotten the Cows? No trip to Halifax or Charlottetown is complete without it.
very cold canuck Posted July 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 24, 2009 In Halifax you have a number of good options for seafood which are within walking distance of the cruise pier. My three favourites are: Salty's The Five Fishermen McKelvies As far as location, Salty's is right on the waterfront so the view is IMHO the nicest. The Five Fishermen have a mussel bar that is yummy (if you like mussels)
wcudmore Posted July 24, 2009 #7 Share Posted July 24, 2009 In Halifax have lunch at Salty's then walk over to Cow's for the best ice cream in the world. Cow's is excellent! I have to drive to Niagara-on-the-lake to get my fix.
