Cabin Assignment Question

We have booked a VD guarantee on the Eurodam and just paid the final payment. Can anyone tell me when we might expect to receive the cabin assignment? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Any time from tomorrow to the day you sail. We got our assignment about 10 days out.

Most assignments are done between 21 and 7 days out, with the peak being around 14 days. But - it could go right down to embarkation day.

We're on the Zuiderdam Aug.15/09, with 3 guarantee cabins. No assignments yet!

Hi Kim..PATIENCE!!! We are booked on the Prinsendam August 7th and are an AB Guarantee (Balcony). We paid out final payment to HAL June 20th. It's like waiting for a baby...can come anytime ....but always happy when it does arrive and worth the wait...good luck!

After checking daily (and sometimes several times a day), imagine my surprise when I logged into HAL on July 20 (for our July 30th departure) and instead of GUAR we had our cabin assignment!!!

Fill in your OnLine CheckIn data on the HAL site. Until a cabin is assigned it will say Stateroom: GUAR ... and one day that GUAR will magically change into a number!

We are also on the Oosterdam sailing July 30. We received our cabin assignment on July 20 as well. However, it has changed twice for te better! We also had a VD guarantee and were initially given a Va midship. I called and asked if there were something better. Nothing..however eventually we ended up in an SS suite.

We booked a guaranteed SY on the Eurodam for 6/22 and thought we would never get an assignment. On the way to the airport for our flight to Copenhagen, I checked "on last time" and there it was. It was worth the wait, though, as we were upgraded to a SB. :)

 

In February we booked a guaranteed SZ on the Zuiderdam and ended up SY, but got the assignment two days before cruise.

We booked a VF Guarantee, and just last week (exactly 10 days out) we received our cabin assignment AND upgrade to a VA on the August 1st Zuiderdam sailing.
