We will be on the Poesia for the New Years Eve cruise. Does anyone have information about the entertainment in the evenings for adults (30-50 years old) and teens (15-18 years old).

How would you compare this ship to Celebrity or Royal?

Thanks

Sorry cant compare to celebrity or Royal other than to say they are geared mainly for English speaking Americans whilst MSC has to cater for many nationalities and languages which means that the entertainment has to take account of that. There will be a show every evening which will be mainly visual/musical because of the language issue. that said they are very enjoyable. They also have some lounges with live dance music, others where it is just music to chill out and relax to. There is a disco. They have a variety of games and activities in the evening too that are in 5 languages. I've never travelled with teens, so can't really tell you anything about what they have for them

I have heard that they will be catering more to American crowd while in the Caribbean. Less concerned about language issues and more that the crowd will be older and the entertainment will cater more to them.

Celebrity is a great line but the lounges are usually catering to the over 60 crowd instead of the over 30 and even teens. Some threads indicate that the teen program does not even start until 11pm seems impossible or that the line is out of touch.

We will be a big group so we usually entertain ourselves but it is nice to go to a lounge and hear music you can relate to and dance and enjoy.

Thanks.
