Ventura sailaway from southampton

It is a few years since our last p & o cruise and we are really excited to be joining Ventura on 31st July (inspite of the many negative reviews). Can you please remind me of what is open for early embarkation - are any restaurants open for example? Also is complimentary "bubbly" provided for the sailaway? I believe it used to be but we have never known where to find it and have always missed out.

You can board from around 12noon and the self service restaurant is open for lunch. Champagne is available for the sailaway but it is not free but might be on special offer

Never had free fizz on P&O (but have had it on Celebrity). As BrianI says, the buffet is open as are the bars. Everything shuts for the safety drill, of course.

 

Cabins are usually available from about 2pm.

Brian is right about the boarding time and the charge for Champers for the sailaway.But if you are a Gold Tier Member or have booked a Suite you will probably find that complimentary 'Champers' and snacks are availble to you in the Tamerind Room prior to sailing.;)

On boarding the ship you are directed to the self service restaurants on all the ships to have lunch, no other restaurant open. At approx 2pm, could be a little earlier, a announcement will be made that cabins are ready. Champagne by the glass is for sale at £2.90 a glass at sailaway.
