On any of these three ships, on Emerald Deck, can anyone tell me exactly what the obstruction is for cabins E705-706-707-708? They are near aft cabins, and appear to have a huge white box outside the window. Would this be a total obstruction, or can you see anything around it? Many thanks to anyone who may have had any of these four cabins. We are interested in them because of their proximity to an inside cabin that will hold 3 people.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I believe that to be a staging area for some large tubes similar what an airliner uses.

I saw the Coast Guard in FLL testing these on the Emerald when it first arrived in the US. They hung all the way to the water and look to be several feet in diameter.

Looks like those large white boxes are where they store them?

Oh Lordy, tell me they dont expect people to chute down these tubes into the water? I am not going to worry about that though.

Anyone know if the white box totally obstructs the view from these cabins?

Not people but maybe inflatable Zodiac type rescue boats. Most are not inflated until they are in the water.

Hi

If I recall right, the box takes up the whole of the window and most of the light on one cabin, the others you have a view out and to one side,

however there were also the life boats, above reducing views and day light.
