After any price adjustment - are you still considered ES rate?

Recommended Posts

After you or your travel agent submits the form for the price drop and your final balance is adjusted or you receive an OBC, is your rate still considered Early Saver. For instance, if past guest rate becomes lower than you paid with ES rate, and you get the price adjustment, is your rate now considered Past Guest rate, not Early Saver. Do you still qualify for further price drops if they happen to go down (like a Carnival sale of some sort), and can you still get another price adjustment?

There are sooooo many questions on here about the Early Saver rates !!!! We all just want to get the best deals possible.

Yes, we have also had two price adjustments since booking our January cruise. TA told me to keep watching it and let her know if it went down anymore. I copied this from the website:

Here's how the Early Saver program works:

1. When you book a 3-5 day cruise three months in advance, or 6 day or longer cruise five months in advance, you are assured the lowest rate.

2. In the unlikely event that you do find a lower Carnival-advertised rate* after booking your cruise, we will honor it and adjust your cruise rate accordingly. Simply fill out the Price Protection Claim form and we'll take care of the rest. If you booked your cruise with a travel agent and need to make a Price Protection Claim, simply contact your travel agent and they will submit it for you.

Hope that helps.

Yes. Once you've received a price adjustment, that lower fare becomes your current Early Saver rate that you now compare to other rates. If you're a Past Guest, and the Past guest rate frops below your curent Earl Saver Rate, you get that lower rate. You cann continue to do this and get price adjustments up until 2 days prior to sailing.. ken
