Cruise Ship Time

Hi. Heading to Alaska on Celebrity Infinity in Sept. The cruise leaves from Seattle which is Pacific Daylight Time. I believe Alaska is an hour behind the west coast on Alaska Daylight Time. So, when you are on the cruise which time do they keep-Pacific Daylight Time or Alaska Daylight Time.

If they keep Alaska Daylight Time at what point do they switch times?

I been on cruises before, where they say they are on ship time which varies from the actually time of where you are at? Wouldnt this be confusing to be on ship time and then be in a port and it is a different time?

Every Celebrity cruise I've been on we have used the actual time it is in the port we are docking. Whether it's been Alaska, Meditterrean, Baltics, Canada, Caribbean - you name it we changed it. The evening before you arrive you will set your clocks ahead or back before going to bed, unless you have a sea day in between they you will do it the evening before the sea day so you will be ready when you get to port.
