Triumph 7/27-8/1 Review

Embarkation: quick and painless, I really thought it would be worse than it was. I was surprise there was not alot of traffic in NYC with both the Triumph & Miracle departing on Monday. From time to we left car service to the ship was 45 minutes

Cabin: We had cabin # 1253, GREAT location in the front of the ship, right near elevators/stairs, our steward did an okay job, actually he never did formally introduce himself so I unfortunately never got his name

Dining: We were assigned table # 305, Paris Lower 8:15, our headwaiter Iaza and the team waiter Jose did a great job all 5 days, we had 6 lovely ladies as table mates and we were often the last ones out of the dining room. We were very lucky to have such fine company.

Cruise Director: by and far out of my 5 cruises Jorge was THE BEST, a word of advice: don't sit in the front row of the show lounge or come in late as you will be picked on by him but it was all it good fun ( Rafael if you read this I LUUUVE YOU)

Shows: all the 5 main shows were great, my favorite show was the magic show. All of the 3 late night shows were very good and we even saw for the first time on a cruise ship ever a world premiere burlesque show, the other 2 late night shows were R-rated comedians both of which were very funny

Ports:

St.John's: we walked to the reversing falls but it was very foggy so you really couldn't see much, later in the day the fog cleared up but by that time we had to be back on board

Halifax: We walked along the water to the casino, played some poker (lost around $50) and did some shopping in town, really not alot in the town to do. We were thinking of going to the maritime museum but didn't find the time. On the walk back to the ship it started to rain and didn't stop in till we left port

both sea days: went to the debarkation talk, the love and marriage game and also the trivia games. both whirlpools on board were close as was the slide so we unfortunately couldn't do any swimming, we did attend the past passenger party which was nice.

Guest Services: on the last sea day we bought liquor from the gift shop and at the time of paying for it the manager had to ring it up twice due to the price ringing up wrong, that was quickly taken care of but when we got back to the cabin around 1:00a the liquor hadn't arrived, i called the guest services desk and told them what had happened and they said they will try and get a hold of the manager and call me back. They called back 5 minutes later saying that they couldn't get a hold of the manager but they had found the liquor in the back store room and we can come right down to the desk and pick it up without having to wait in line, very nicely handled by them

all in all it was a great cruise. Jorge did a great job as cruise director and made my cruise even better, if you have any questions feel free and ask and I will be happy to answer them

bobby, yes I agree Jorge was a delight. We have been randomly saying "Rafael I loove you" since the cruise. and don't forget Tommy with 2 O's- "meow"

Did you see the talent show? I thought Midnight Train to Georgia and Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me were the best, although Desperado is one of my all time favorite songs- sung as Jorge said- "Acupulco"

I'm already looking forward to my next cruise

Jorge was very good. Lotsa jokes with audience folks. All the shows were good, especially the "Big Easy". But they did have a curtin malfunction at the 830pm show towards the end so we didnt see the grand finnally.

Estaban, the bacon policeman in south beach(center) was awsome. VERY serious!

The fog was pretty intence at times I must say!

For my first cruise, it was quite enjoyable. We were in cabin 9262.

yes I saw the talent show, many talented guests

How was the weather? Warm enough to be in the pools?

Or were the pools closed also?

How about the food? Good, bad or indifferent?

very foggy, it rained a few days. The weather was bad for the summer, high 60's. a few people still swam in the couple of pools that were open

food was very good but at times could have been hotter.
