We booked our cruise a couple of months back. We were hoping that the rate would fall the closer to sailing we got. This is not the case. We booked a OV port-hole room for 249pp. Now the cheapest OV room on board is $399pp. So much for the closer to sailing the cheaper...seems to be the other way around.

Guilty no. Happy Yes! 8 day cruise to Mexico this year is about $300 less per person than 7 day cruise last year. (both balconies). Wasn't really planning on going and if prices were the same wouldn't be. But $600 less and an extra day and we are there! :D

That is a FANTASTIC way to think about it. When we booked we had 600+ days to go, now we're down to like 118. :D

We are booked on the same cruise as Mamaparrothead, and over 4 cabins have had $1300 price drop. Do I feel guilty, naaaaaahhh:D feel great, because my 8b has now shot up in price, so feel like I got a great bargain.

We booked the 7 day Victory cruise for Feb.7, 2010 at ES rate of $429pp. So far the price has been steadily climbing, it's $150 more pp now. I'm happy I booked when I did.

Wow, KonasMom, that's still a pretty good deal. I have an 8B on the Glory for $579 and thought it was a bargain!

Guilty never, On my second cruise the price dropped $10.00 pp This was on RCI I had no problem phoning and getting a price change. The way oI looked at it thats about 3 drinks free!
