Can anyone tell me if and how you can get cash at the casino? Do they give you chips or a card, and then give you cash when you are done? Do you have to register with CAS? Are there any benefits to belonging to CAS?

To answer you question, they use cash for slots, nothing is stored on your card. They do have the TITO to move your money to another machine or play later, like land casinos. The tables use chips, just like land casinos.

The card from CAS - Casinos at Sea will track your play. There are lots of theories on what is good play. Search on casino and you will lots more. You can get your card after you board.

You can get cash from the cashier and it will be charged to your room charge account.

Thanks for all of the info - can anyone tell me if they put a surcharge on your account for cash gotten at the casino? Someone told me that NCL will charge you 2% extra for getting the cash.

There is no charge for getting cash in the casino. You can get upto $2000.00 per day on your credit card if you want. If you want cash, tell them at the cashiers window, that you are going to play slots, they will give you cash. If you don't care and are going to the tables, they will bring the paperwork to your table to sign and then they will issue chips. Just turn them in for cash at any time. If you like to gamble, say a hour a day, get the CAS card. You will save a minimum of 17% on future cruises with NCL. Just call the CAS line. You will also get free drinks now on future cruises while doing the slots or the tables. A recent new perk.:)
