Blue Lagoon Question for Scubagirl

Scubagirl,

You recommended Blue Lagoon (among other things) for our day in Nassau in early October. I emailed them to make a reservation and they got back to me and let me know that because of our ship's schedule we would only have 3 hours on the island. I am tempted to do it anyway but wondered what you think. We could also spend the day at the Sheraton. We will be docked from 9-4.

Thanks for your help,

Deborah

Blue Lagoon is a little piece of paradise tucked away on a private island. I'd do 3 hours there vs a hotel resort anyday.. but that's just me.

You can also wander over to watch the Sea Lions and Dolphins while you're on the island.. Can't beat it.

Thanks, Scubagirl! I am with you about the island vs resort. You have been very helpful.

The disadvantage of Blue Lagoon is that you have to get to the ferry terminal half an hour in advance and then it's a half hour ferry ride over to the island. The advantage is that it's a very nice ferry ride - you could consider that part of the tour. You'll get to see Atlantis and all the mansions on Paradise Island and enjoy the beautiful blue water.

Blue Lagoon isn't just a beach. You can walk around and see the dolphins and sea lions playing. If you like animals better than pools and water slides, go with Blue Lagoon.
