Can't answer the cross-contamination question.

 

Re MR, we've been on cruise and land vacations to Coz and have never experienced it. All water is purified. Ice is made from the purified water. The restaurants and bars depend on tourists and will not risk their reputation by serving 'dirty' water/ice.

 

Many report that MR if experienced in Coz, is usually because you are eating food that is spicier than you are used to at home, or drinking too much or both. :D

That's pretty much what I would have written.

 

Many report that MR if experienced in Coz, is usually because you are eating food that is spicier than you are used to at home, or drinking too much or both. :D
OR eating from an AI buffet where you don't know how "fresh" the food is or how it has been stored before being brought out to the table.
