Buccaneer Hotel

Has anyone been to the Buccaneer Hotel for the day? Any info would be appreciated.

I would also be interesed in hearing from anyone who has done this. We stayed at the Buccaneer in the 80's and loved it there. If there is a fee for the day, what does it include? chairs? umbrella?, etc.

The Buccaneer is a lovely family owned resort on St. Croix. They have several beaches, but Mermaid Beach is the main one. The Mermaid restaurant is adjacent and serves really good lunch fare. I recommend that you e-mail the resort to find out if they are offering day visits for cruise ship passengers.

There is a $4 pp charge for beach access for non-resort guest. It includes access to the beach, use of beach chairs and restrooms. You pass through a guard stand before entering the beach and that is where you pay the admission fee.
