Booking onboard - is there a reduced deposit?

My first O cruise is coming up soon and I'd like to know if one gets a reduced deposit when booking the next cruise onboard. Princess does this and I think it's a great marketing tool.

 

I've found posts about a $200 certificate, but can't find info on reduced deposit. Does anyone know?

Recently booked a cruise while onboard Regatta. No reduced deposit for booking onboard but 5% reduction on price of cruise.
