Anyone know why there are no stops for RCI ships in Ocho Rios? Appears only Mo' Bay or Falmouth.

They are building in Falmouth to accomodate the Oasis and the Allure. Maybe the itineraries are not out for all ships yet for 2011!

Hope that is the case. My TA told me no RCI ships will be stopping at Ocho that February. I was hoping for Freedom or at least a Freedom class. We'll see. Thanks.

Looks like the Freedom will be sharing the new port with the Oasis and the Allure in Falmouth!!

One site says that Ocho Rios is only a 30 min drive from Falmouth, but if I remember correctly (it has been years since I have been) the drive was more like 45min-1hour.

That may be doable then. I really wanted to take DS to DRF. If it were an RCI sponsored excursion I may take the trip. I remember getting from Mo Bay to OR and it taking over 2 hours. I thought Falmouth was only about 18 miles east of Mo Bay.

DRF is such a tourist attraction that I am sure that the ship will offer it as an excursion. We are taking our kids there on our stop in Ocho Rios in Feb10!

I hope so. I just wouldn't want to risk on our own. I like Ocho Rios and having a Cheeseburger in Paradise afterward before heading back to the ship. This definitely changes things.
