Salt Water or Fresh? also aft balcony questions on Zuiderdam?

We are about to embark on our first HAL Cruise on the Zuiderdam in Sept thru the Panama Canal and I was wondering...

1.)Is the swiming pool water fresh water or salt?:confused: We were on a RCCL cruise where the pool water was salt, then a year later took a Princess Cruise where the pool water was fresh.

I'm a pool nut and prefer a fresh water pool, however I just wanted to avoid a disappointment.

 

2.)Also, we are on the aft balcony on deck 8 just below the pool and was wondering if there could be an issue of the ships exhaust becoming a problem while outside,

 

3.)also curious if other passengers would be able to look down on us from the aft Lido deck (deck 9)?
