According to what I have read with another tour company the caves will be closed July 15th through December 15th. Not sure if that affects your plans.

Let me be clear about this - Harrion Cave is closed to 12/15 due to renovations on the inside. There are other caves and caverns on the island.

 

I am getting a custom made tour not through the cruise line. I do not accept having to do what the cruise line tour tells me to do. I want to do what I want to do.

We've taken several trips through shore trips and all were great! Can't go wrong with them although I think they are a little pricey - they have a great tour.

I have the tour booked and we will be sailing the Equinox on 12/4/09 from Florida. We are not using Shore Trips because we are using a local guy who is highly recommended.

we are not going till feb 2010 and harrison cave will be open by then there is just two of us and I went to go to harrison tour and maybe a island tour can we just get off the ship and book a tour with someone.

There is also Coles Cavern and St Andrews Cavern. They are both very nice. Just like Harrisons in many ways.

 

You can just get off the ship and book with someone but I would not recommend it. You never who you are going to get.

 

I would prepare your tour before hand but you should know that there are tour operators who will take you to only the destinations you want to go to. This is the wise thing to do so you do not waste time at any of the places the cruise line makes you go to on their tours.

 

I can give you the name of a great guide if you want.

also try glory tours. they have several options. my son used them last year and had a great time covering many activities.
