samana with young children

I have a group of 8 adults and 6 children ranging from 2-6 years old. I am wondering what is the most cost effective way to get to a nice beach. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I did look into this and the price I was quoted was $520 which included the boat ride to the beach and the taxi ... do you think that is a reasonable price? I thought that seemed high. Isn't there a beach that is closer to the cruise port that would be less expensive and not as long to get to?
