jencredible Posted August 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2009 We did the Western on the Valor last Oct. And plan on cruising with our 4&6 yo daughters soon. We plan on getting passports for them, but should a great deal come up before then, would birth certificates be enough for them? We are also thinking of doing a Mexican Riviera route this time. What are your opinions on the differences(miami, san diego, etc) Any words of advice for traveling with kids? Has anything changed over the last year? Thanks! firefly333 Posted August 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2009 As long as the cruise is a closed loop, leaving from the U.S., i.e. leaves and comes back to the same port, you only need birth certificates. If you look up .... there is a sticky on this information, you can post on that thread for more info.
yogi2929 Posted August 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2009 It should be a good time to get passports because the turnaround time seems to be very short right now. I have read about passports being processed in one or two weeks. Could a second BC be obtained for the girls? One needs to be sent with the passport and one just in case a good deal comes up? The family board has lots of info about cruising with kids.
