Bringing sodas on board San Juan?

Recommended Posts

I'm a fellow diet Mt Dew fan too. A few years ago when we stopped for a port day in San Juan, I purchased a couple of 2liter bottles at a grocery store in Old San Juan and carried those on no problem.

When I sailed HAL last year, I just checked in two 12 packs with my luggage. No problem.

As we are flying to San Juan on our next trip, I was wondering where I could purchase some Diet Mt Dew (near to the port) and carry that on.

Does anyone know of a place that sells Diet Dew close to the port?

Thanks

There is a Walgreens in the center of Old San Juan that sells Mt. Dew, and I'm sure plenty of other places. We did the exact same thing [but on a RCCL ship]. We had a taxi driver take us to a grocery store [can't remember which one, we just asked around, and then just carried the sodas on with us. There is no need to smuggle. None of the cruise lines carry Pepsi products and I need my morning Mt. Dew, so I always carry some with me. No one has ever said anything.
