  1. You’re not missing anything and yes, you’ve already paid the gratuity with the package. Some like to tip additional, some don’t. I do it because I’m fortunate enough to be able to cruise so giving the bartenders an extra buck for my drinks won’t break my bank. Thats my reason and there’s no right or wrong. You do you and enjoy your cruise.😊
  2. When I was on the Panorama last year, had Cheers and I did carry some $1 bills with me and tipped for each drink. One time I forgot to grab them from the room and at the Havana bar, wrote in the tip on the slip, I asked the bartender there if it's better for them to get cash or on the slip is fine and he said cash is always better for them.
  3. They also have the small bottles of Perrier & San Pellegrino that are included.
  4. That’s a big fail on guest services to let you adjust your gratuities instead of just taking care of the problem and removing the erroneous charges.
  5. That’s funny because I was on the Discovery twice and was charged for drinks that weren’t mine on both cruises. Of course GS took care of it right away but it’s a hassle for sure.
  6. I've been there many times as well and have done most of the excursions. I was there last October on the Panorama, I walked the marina to Sancho's for tacos & margaritas. It was such a fun place with a small live band and very friendly and welcoming staff. I'm planning on going again in September when I'm there on the Firenze. Another good spot to go is Solomon's Landing on the marina as well.
  7. @ScottsSweetie Thank you for your thoughts on your trip. I'll be on the Firenze at the end of August and I'm super excited for this different style of Carnival ship. For the taxi situation in PV, if you walk down to the corner of the main street, by the gas station, there are taxi's there that will take you to the Malecon for about $6 for 2 people. I've done it many times. The taxis just in the port area are very expensive. Glad you made the most of your day there.
  8. Just because someone was able to do it and tells you they were able to on this forum doesn’t mean it’s allowed and their result will be the same for you. It sounds like you know what you’re doing so just go ahead with your plan.
  9. I stayed in 1202 port side on the Panorama last October and it was great. Loved having the light in the cabin and it was very quiet. Great for coming back on board on port days. I have 1205 on the Firenze in August, that’s starboard side so I may hear the anchor but I’m early so it won’t matter to me. I would have no problems booking these cabins.
  10. Another awesome review! Thank you for taking us along with you. Always enjoy reading them and appreciate all the work that goes into it.
  11. I’ll be on Deck 1, starboard forward on the Firenze at the end of August. I’ve never been on Deck 1 but I’m thinking it’ll be fine. Cabins above me and I’m assuming I-95 is below me. Maybe except for the anchor dropping in the wee hours of the morning for our Cabo stop. 😁 If I’m not mistaken, the Firenze got the statue of David from the Pride? Loved my Pride cruise many, many years ago. Have an awesome cruise!
  12. I think you're going to have to be really diligent in checking multiple times per day for a cancelation. As others have said, I wouldn't wait for someone to notify you. I would think there would be cancelation between now and sail date. Best of luck to you!
  13. Yeah, not having cheers on the second leg would be a bummer. I went ahead and booked the Firenze for 8/31/24. It's a milestone birthday cruise and will be my 20th Carnival cruise so I'm excited about it.
  14. It would be a b2b with a 2 day but I agree, a longer cruise is always better, so that extra day is great to have. 🙂
