Got Tequila? Posted February 21, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2010 Can anyone tell me if Bingo is offered on NCL ships and if so, what is the cost to play? What type of prizes are offerred? Bingo is offered. Price is quite high, anywhere from $39.99 to about $150 I believe. It depends upon the package being offered. They have machines that do it all for you, all you have to do is sit back and yell "Bingo" when it beeps. Prizes are mostly cash, but I have seen some jewelry pieces as well as dinners in the specialty restaruants as additional prizes. In my opinion, it's too expensive for the amount of payout they give.........but it seems like there are always people lined up to play so they must like it. Richie2pies Posted February 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2010 The odds are soooo much better in the lousiest lottery than in NCL's bingo. It must be a huge money maker for them, yet the suckers line up to play.

justhavingfun Posted February 22, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 22, 2010 Hello Just off NCL Spirit 2/14/10- 2/21/10 Bingo Packs were $30 to $ 140. You only play 4 games thats all. RUN don't walk from the Bingo Games. They also have pull tabs $20 for 5 strips top prize $2,000. No one on this cruise won the $2,000 I asked, I asked ship info when was the last time someone won the $2,000 They told me last Oct 09' I would have thought they would have at least one winner per Cruise. Info desk told me no. Don't get me wrong I played because I like bingo and pull tabs, but after I found out about winners of pull tabs never again and no more bingo on ships for me. Just my opinion. garycarla Posted February 22, 2010 #7 Share Posted February 22, 2010 There is no way you will ever miss the BINGO on NCL ships. You would think the cruise was made just for BINGO with all the announcements. The only that you will hear more about is the cruise rewards offer. jollycruise Posted February 22, 2010 #8 Share Posted February 22, 2010 Yes there is Bingo and it is a little pricey. But for us it was great. On our first cruise DH won ALOT of money and also won the lotto drawing they had onboard. The also gave out raffle tickets to win a free cruise (it's a voucher for $1000.00) Yep, he won that too! On our second cruise we played bingo again and I won this time. I don't remember the exact amount, but I did use the winnings for spending money for the rest of the cruise. Like I said for us it has been good and we do enjoy it :D.
Zimomiller Posted February 22, 2010 #9 Share Posted February 22, 2010 Been on many a cruise ship. NCL's pricing for BINGO is very high and the payouts are very low. (IE their cut is very high) All you have to do is watch how many people play, do the basic math and you can quickly see this. BINGO can be fun, but my experiences the last few cruises have been painful. My kids love to play so I go along since an adult must be present. The ineptitude displayed on the Jade last summer by the asst cruise director and by the staff was astounding.

I won $1000.00 on our ncl cruise years back on the pull tab, I first thought I won $1.00 never thought I would win big, and someone on the same sailing won a free cruise on these pull tabs, but I'm sure they found out people win and changed the odds. Thanks for the info on the bingo, that is alot higher than the carnival cruise I was on in July, it was only $20.00. Thanks Joann

JOANN226 Posted February 25, 2010 #12 Share Posted February 25, 2010 What are the pull tabs anyway? All I know about is plain old Bingo! They are like lottery tickets, but you just open these tabs and they show amounts if you have won, when I was buying them I would win $8 or so on a card, sometimes win nothing, so when I opened the tab I looked quickly and thought I won a $1.00, then I saw a bunch of serial numbers under it, that wasnt on any of the others, so I looked again and saw that I won a $1000.00. It is a funny story because I wasnt going to buy anymore because I had spent about $60.00 on them already and my niece talked me into buying them again, I was very happy that she did, they gave me a voucher I went to the casino and they paid out the $1000.00 to me in cash. We are pretty much in the middle of the island, if you know the Long Island Expressway we are exit 62, in the same town as the IRS.
