Nawiliwili Help

We will be in in port in Nawiliwili, Kauai for one day. We are taking a helicopter ride in the morning. We need suggestions on things to see and do in the Nawiliwili area for the afternoon. Thanks!!

Just the Nawiliwili area? Depending on the number of hours you have after the tour, you would have time to drive all the way to Waimea Canyon to the west, or north to Hanalie Bay/Princeville area.

Within walking distance of the pier is Kalapaki Bay and beach, fronted by shops and the Marriott Hotel which has a Dukes restaurant with beachside bar. Nice place for lunch and drinks and a little beach time. Lots of trees for shade and water equipment rentals. If anyone likes gardens, walking inside the Mariott is worthwhile as it is built around an old botanical garden with lots of flora, ponds, waterfalls and fountains. Nice place to wander and relax.

We enjoyed a morning wandering around the Marriot gardens (was also lots of koi in the pond and some Nene geese) and beach before the NCL Pride of America departed for the Napali Coast at 2pm. If you are on this ship be aware it now arrives into port at 10am on day 6

If time allows go to the Canyon...it is amazing.

Helicopter tour all the way and not just any tour... do the Island Helicopters Jurassic Falls Landing (the only tour that does this landing). I cannot praise this tour enough. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced hands down. This tour will likely have you in awe the entire time and be what you remember your port stop in Kauai for years afterward.
