Quantum/Anthem New Years Parties

Hi All,

Trying to see how different a cruise on the Anthem will be for New Years compared to on the Oasis/Allure/Freedom.

Can we expect the the same esplenade party as the promenade with the ball drop and the background countdown numbers? Does the Anthem have a New Years party in 270 or on the pool deck? Do any of the videos broadcast the Times Square ball drop? We were very disappointed that even the pool deck on the Freedom had the black countdown clock and a football game compared to what everyone wanted to see which was the Times Square ball drop.

Also, what kind of parties will there be on New Years on the Anthem? Anything special in 270 or any 18+ party at the Seaplex? This would be a great idea, as the Club Studio B party was great for our kids 18+ on New Years on the Allure.

Is the Seaplex ever used as a dance floor for parties?

Most of that is totally up to the CD, so what anyone experienced in past years may not happen on future sailings.

Last New Years Eve on Anthem was awesome! Got dressed up and had an awesome dinner in Chops with a great bottle of wine to get things started. Parties everywhere, something for everyone. Main party was on the pool deck. They dropped Northstar like the ball and had the countdown on the big screen. They blew the ships horn as the finale. Champagne everywhere. Bolaros had Latin themed party. Two70 had the balloons and pop music dj party. It was hopping. Family party in SeaPlex and a Big Band party in the music hall. Not sure what was going on in the Esplanade. Best New Years in many years! I believe this year is a longer cruise that combines with the Christmas holiday. Can't do that one yet. Can't wait for another opportunity to do New Years on the Anthem!

I don't get why they showed the black and white numbers on the Freedom and Allure the last two years and would love for RCl to show what most people would love to see over plain numbers.

They just showed a countdown. The flashing Northstar coming down was the ball drop. It was fun sharing the experience with people from all over the world, so in a way we had our own mini Times Square on the Anthem.
