Returning to Regent after 2 plus years

Well, we finally succumbed to the "new lower price" ads and are booking the Voyager for a 10 day Briitish Isles cruise 6/6/16.

The price is 1,000/pp lower than in the previous brochure, about 3 months ago, so it really is a new lower price.

An interesting price comparison to a similar Oceania cruise on Mariner in 8/16.

We booked concierge E on Voyager, with RT BC air, total for 2 is $24,600

On Marina same level room, add in booze, transfers, BC air, total is $24,180.

The Marina cruise is 11 days, Voyager 10, but the Voyager cruise includes 1 night pre cruise hotel in London so I consider it a wash and prefer the day/evening in London.

Anyway, looking forward to it and hope things haven't changed too much from our 2013 Mariner cruise which was great.

BTW, we were on Crystal last year and really preferred Regent on so many levels.

You picked a great itinerary! Really would like to know more as to why you prefer Regent to Crystal. Also, have you sailed on Oceania? Great price comparison between the two lines. While we enjoy Oceania, IMO, Regent is still our favorite cruise line.

Tcat, we prefer Regent primarily for open dining, no formal night, the ability to get a good steak, canapés et al in the bars and the food in the MDR.

On the minor side, interactive TV vs no on Crystal. We liked checking menus on Regent daily so we could decide where to dine.

Crystal Serenity was a great ship, extremely well maintained, we just preferred what we had on Regent.
