Question About Copenhagen Buses

Recommended Posts

We plan to take the bus from our hotel to the cruise terminal and then after the cruise from the cruise terminal back into the city so that we can take the train to the airport. It is my understanding that the buses only take danish krone. Question - can I purchase bus tickets at the airport so that I can pay with my credit card and then keep and use them when I need them?

Also, we will need to transfer buses to get to the cruise port. How does this work? Do we get some sort of transfer ticket or do I need to purchase two tickets? I know I need a 2 zone ticket. Thanks!

A 2 and also 3 zone ticket is valid for 1 hour so you just keep it with you and show it when you change bus.

The ticket is valid by the time of purchase, the only other solution is to have some danish kroner ready to pay the driver or have a SMS ticket that you pay online.

Or if you are near a station you can buy a ticket at the 7-Eleven.
