Divina Yacht Club Questions

Hi there

We are cruising with MSC for the first time later this year our of Miami and we just have a few random questions. Thankyou in advance for any feedback.

The Yacht Club Resturant menu, does it vary daily, unlike the NCL Epic Haven Resturant that was the same every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In a YC1 cabin, will the room steward put the sofa bed away daily? To save space!!

Are there nice toiletries in the bathroom?

The specialty restaurants are they worth trying and is the cover charge reasonable?

I am sorry for the random questions and thankyou again in advance.

The Le Muse menu changes daily at least for lunch and dinner but there are a few staples on the menu that won't change.

Not sure about the sofa bed because we never used ours. I would think they would put it away daily. If not ask them to, in the YC it's whatever your wish is.

I thought the toiletries were pretty good. I used the body wash and lotion and they definately weren't cheap.

Can't answer about the specialty restaurants - never went to one. We did order pizza between 8-midnight which comes straight from Eately restaurant it was part of room service.

We sailed on the MSC Preziosa and the Yacht Club restaurant menu changed for lunch and dinner everyday. Breakfast was the same. This is an example of a dinner menu we had.

I have an ongoing review of our Yacht Club experience on the MSC Preziosa. Here is the link - http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2288693

Regarding your question about whether the speciality restaurants are worth it.

We stayed in the YC on our first MSC cruise over Christmas, and one night tried Eataly. While we didn't find the restaurant particularly cozy or inviting (in terms of decor), I had a plate of pasta that ranks among the very best I've had in Italy. It's a Roman dish - Cacio e Pepe (cheese and pepper). On the strength of that experience alone, we will definitely return to Eataly (we've already booked two future MSC/YC cruises!).

Oh, forgot to add that the pricing at Eataly was a la carte.

They put the couch away during the day and have it ready for you in the evening too. NOTE: I've never been on the Divina but I expect them to do the same as the other MSC Yacht Clubs.

Yes, they'll reconfigure the sofa/bed each day even if you aren't in YC. ;)

First time on MSC and the YC having sailed many times in NCL suites in the Haven area. Can anyone compare the two.

How do they handle the dining times at Le Muse?? Is it really "anytime"??

What is the best specialty restaurant ???

I'm sure I'll have more..:D

When you board and are escorted to the YC by a butler, you will be able to specify which dining time you prefer. If you are more that a few minutes late for that time, your table may be given to someone else.

Galaxy is the best specialty restaurant we have tried so far. Want to try the pasta side of Eately next time. Didn't enjoy the steak house side.

You will be asked what time you'd like to dine. If you go at that time you'll be given the same table and waiter every night. If you change you mind and want to go later or earlier, just tell concierge and they'll let the restaurant know. So yes you can dine anytine, at least we have all 3 times we've sailed in YC.

The menu changes daily but as a previous poster said, there are also staples that are on every day...such as filet minon, pasta, etc. There's always at least one or two fresh fish offerings daily too.

We always use the sofa bed and yes, it is put away daily and not folded out until evening.

The toiletries are nice and smell wonderful, but the hair conditioner is not the best for long, thick hair (it's rather thin) and the lotion is also very thin. Love the shampoo!

Eataly is magnificent! The decor is somewhat lacking but the steaks are wonderful! We ate there twice. The first time they were running a special...$15 for a HUGE T-bone and a glass of wine. More than worth the price! And they serve a wonderful bread in a paper bag. Yum!! Went to Galaxy one evening but did not stay as the menu was primarily fish which unfortunately we do not eat.

Good questions! Not random at all!

We are very excited and have just booked and extra 7 nights on top of our b2b in November.
