Rib steak every night on gem?

Rib Steak is actually a bone-in Ribeye. Actual Rib Steak (speaking of the specific cut) is NOT available in any dining venue on NCL. However, without the bone, there is the same piece of meat with two different cuts - it is called Ribeye or Prime Rib depending on how it was cut and prepared. You can get Prime Rib in the MDR, Cagney's and also in O'Sheehan's on certain nights. Ribeye steaks are available in Cagneys. The Ribeye in Cagneys is Angus Beef. For this particular type of beef, which is grass fed, it is best eaten Rare to Medium Rare as more cooking than that will actually result in a tough and chewy steak. The less Angus beef is cooked and the lower the temperature at which it is cooked, the better it will actually taste. For this reason, when preparing Angus beef, you typically allow it to come to room temperature before putting it on the grill, so that the cooking time can be as short as possible. The general method is to quickly sear the meat at a high temperature, then immediately turn off the grill and close the cover to allow the steak to cook low and slow at a low temperature then remove the steak as it approaches Medium Rare, allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

No 1 of the free MDR serves a rib steak every night the other serves a shell steak

Dave from the recent menus that have been reproduced on here, it looks like both MDRs serve four identical dishes each night (in addition to the stuff they switch around), including a "strip loin steak," which sounds good to me. The other "always available" choices include a chicken, fish and pasta dish, which covers the bases well.

Honestly, the MDR menus look really good. We'll find out how well the offerings are prepared.
