sheila59 Posted December 31, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2012 Hi, we will be cruising into New York and catching a flight later in the day, my question is what do we do with our suitcase, can they be checked into airline early or is their somewhere you can store your cases? Demonyte Posted December 31, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2012 NCL has their BAGS program with 9 participating airlines, if you are flying with one of those, you can leave your checked luggage outside your cabin on the last night and see it next time on your destination airport for a cost of $19.95pp. (If the BAGS program is offered in NYC, the page doesn't say that it isn't but IIRC one recent review, at least in NOLA the program wasn't operational) http://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/bags The trip to any of the airports to checkin the baggage takes easily two hours round trip if not more so I'd say that it isn't worth it. Other possibilities are the hotels (we did this last April as our friends were checking in to a hotel but their room wasn't ready so we left our bags with their bags for the day) and specific storage companies like Schwartz Travel & Storage: http://www.jsrentalocker.com/
njhorseman Posted December 31, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2012 NCL doesn't offer the BAGS program in New York. I recommend Schwartz Travel for storage of your suitcases, as the previous poster mentioned.
