lieslt Posted June 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2017 Looking for suggestions for scuba excursion in San Juan. Mom and 3 teenage boys...first time scuba so not certified. I've looked at reviews for a few private companies. RCI has excursion as well. Surprisingly not a big price difference between RCI and private but worried about a huge group with RCI. Suggestions? JJnumber1 Posted June 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2017 As a person who trains scuba instructors, I would highly recommend that you schedule some lessons for all of you prior to your dive in San Juan. I live in Greenville, NC and can tell you there are several good dive shops in the Raleigh area that can take care of that for you. Not everyone can do scuba diving. Hopefully when you say "first time" you mean since ya'll have taken the class. Trust me, it's different at 75 feet then it is just snorkeling. I've done quite a bit of diving in the islands and would be surprised if any of the dive shops let you dive if you haven't at least been through the classes.
