Glad you enjoyed the video. The cruise of Halong Bay was really great. Afterwards you can take a taxi to the Halong fish market, which was also very interesting. A taxi from the tender pier to the fish market is between 5 to 10 dollars depending the taxi driver - they will negotiate.

Thanks for the nice comments! We visited Halong Bay on a 28-day HollandAmerica cruise from Hong Kong to Singapore in January. The junk boat cruise of the bay was a ships tour. Halong is a tender port and the junk boats pulled along-side our ship. They returned us tothe ship at the conclusion of the tour. Then we took a tender ashore and got a taxi to the Halong Fish Market for $5 eachway. I think it might be possible totake the ships tender ashore and arrange for a private cruise of the islands.
